Consider building a house. It is vital to
have a solid foundation to build on.
If
the house is not set on a solid foundation, it could easily
collapse. Our bodies work in much the same way. We can
exercise to tone or to strengthen the muscles that you can
see in the mirror, but what about those muscles that you
cannot see…namely the deep core muscles? In working your
deep core muscles you are building a fitness foundation by
giving your body permission to become not only toned, but
also balanced, strong, and stable. This will decrease your
risk for injury…and improve your posture. |
